AILET 2020 REGISTRATIONS:

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted by National Law University (NLU) in Delhi, that offers admission to eligible candidates in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) level courses in Law. After clearing entrance AILET 2020, the candidate is eligible for admission in Law courses such as BA (LLB), LLB (Honors), LLM and PhD.  According to the official notifications as prescribed by the university.

AILET 2020 APPLICATION PROCESS AND SELECTION CRITERIA 2020:

  • Students need to register online at the official website of NLU Delhi – nludelhi.ac.in and fill the application form with candidates’ details and upload documents that are required with prescribed fee payment and select exam centre of their choice. The filled-in application forms need to be submitted in online mode only.
  • The university shall issue admit cards to candidates who have successfully registered the formalities.
  • Candidates have to appear for the examination at the allotted test centres at least one hour before the commencement of the examination
  • The results shall be announced within a month, and the scorecard will be sent to successful candidates.
  • Counselling shall be held on the basis of merit.

STEP BY STEP APPLICATION PROCESS:

  • Click on ‘Register to Apply Now‘  and create a signup/Login account and fill in the required details such as:
  • Name
  • E-mail Address
  • Create a Password
  • Date of Birth
  • Mobile Number
  • Contact Address

  • Click on confirm registration and log in again to fill the application form as under:
  • Select the law course
  • AILET 2020 is an entrance exam that is conducted for UG/PG courses seeking admission in law.
  • Select the option of course that you have opted for: such as BA LLB, LLB –Honors, LLM and PhD and click on the option “Apply now”.

o   Fill the AILET application form:

  • Students need to fill in the details such as :

Religion, category, nationality, educational background, examination centre, address for communication and Parents/guardian details.

●       Upload Documents

  • Students need to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications below:
  • Photograph: JPG, GIF or BMP format with less than 150KB and recent colour photograph with light background.
  • Signature:  JPG, GIF or BMP format with less than 150KB. It should be a clear scanned copy in either blue or black ink.

●       Mode of Payment:

  • Online mode– Students can pay the prescribed fee using Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking option through an online payment gateway. Select “Online Payment Gateway” and fill in the required details and proceed for payment.
  • Offline mode– Students need to select the nearest Bank branch as prescribed in Application Formalities for Offline mode of Payment. They need to generate challan/Demand Draft and download the same within 48 hours with updated statuses such as date of payment and branch details.

Passed/Appearing in Class 12 or equivalent examination conducted by respective Boards in India. They must have a score of 55%aggregate in the qualifying examination.
LLM Masters in Law

Passed/appearing in the final year of a five year/three year LLB Degree. They must have scored at least 55% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
PhD Doctorate of Philosophy Passed in LLM Degree. They must have scored at least 55% aggregate in the qualifying examination.

AILET Cut-offs:

  • Students who have secured 72% or above will be called for the first round of counselling.

  • Cross check in any errors and take a print out for the same.

Tie-Break Method in AILET 2020 Result:

  • When two candidates score the same marks in AILET exam, it would be a tie, and it is

Resolved through Tie break Method where the higher percentage score in qualifying marks is taken into consideration to give admissions in respective colleges.

 No, you can access the admit card for AILET exam in online mode only on the official website of the exam.

Candidates can make the choice of test cities while filling the application forms only. They can select up to three cities as their preferred test centre locations.

Yes, for each wrong attempt, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

A good score for AILET as per the cut off marks for each category is as under:

General: 93.25, SC-59.75, ST-58.5, Disabled- 64, Kashmir migrants-34.55 and Residents of J&K- 54.25
